845-MW Wind Farm
This 845-MW wind project spans more than 30 miles in the Pacific Northwest United States. Upon Blattner’s on-schedule completion in 2012, the project became the second largest wind farm in the United States, capable of producing 2 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.
As the EPC contractor for the project, Blattner Energy’s scope of work included: construction of 95 miles of access roads; installation of 338 turbines and foundations, installation of a 136-mile underground collection system; installation of 16 miles of 230 kV transmission line; and construction of three substations, one ring bus, three O&M buildings, and nine permanent MET towers.
