Employees participated in the company’s annual food drive during the month of February this year and raised $59,759 and 10,126 non-perishable items that were donated to various food shelves throughout Central Minnesota. The wind and solar energy project site teams located throughout the United States also participated in the food drive and donated food, household items and cash to local communities across the country.
Blattner’s corporate office employees were divided into two competing teams to encourage team building and creativity during the event. The teams challenged one another to participate in employee-led events to raise money for the cause, including bake sales, lunch specials, and a silent auction and raffle. There was even a friendly pie-in-the-face competition this year.
This year, contributions were donated to local food shelves including Avon, Albany, Melrose area, Holdingford area, Rocori area and Albertville/St. Michael, and food shelves in eight states.
